Pre-installation Preparations
Before installing aluminum alloy windows, thorough preparation is necessary to ensure all tools and materials are available. First, measure the window opening dimensions to ensure the aluminum alloy window frame matches the opening. Check the window opening for flatness and repair or level it if necessary. Prepare the necessary expansion screws, sealant, level, and other tools, and clean any debris and dust from the window opening.
Window Frame Fixing Steps
* Positioning the Window Frame: Place the window frame into the window opening, temporarily fix it with wooden wedges, and adjust its horizontal and vertical position.
* Drilling and Fixing: Use an electric drill to drill holes in the pre-drilled positions on the window frame and install expansion screws to fix the window frame, ensuring proper screw spacing.
* Checking Flatness: Repeatedly calibrate with a level to ensure the window frame is installed flat and without tilt.
Filling Gaps: Fill the gaps between the window frame and the wall with expanding foam to enhance sealing and stability.
Glass Installation and Adjustment
Glass installation is the final and crucial step. First, place the glass into the window frame groove and fix it with a retaining strip, ensuring a tight fit between the glass and the window frame. After installation, adjust the hardware, check if the windows open and close smoothly, and if the locks are secure. Finally, apply sealant to the joints to prevent water seepage and air leakage.
